This holiday feels a bit pointless.
It's just an extra day off work, which only really matters for certain professions.
Sure, I could say it gives me a day to spend with my kids. But as a single mom, I seldom have a day entirely to myself.
I could mention how it allows us to go out and enjoy activities together, like we did today. However, I already make time for fun with them regularly; I don’t need a special occasion to prioritize quality moments with my kids. I just need a joint to stay in those moments.
Sometimes, all I really want is a moment to relax.
Yet, we did have a great time...and I can proudly say I got to be a fox today!
