One bench. Four kids. A demon slayer, Stitch, Baby Yoda, and Ghostface, all squished together in the backyard like it's the most normal thing in the world. Nobody matches. Nobody coordinates. The twelve-year-old is holding a sword and trying very hard to look serious. The six-year-old is Stitch holding Stitch. The two-year-old is Baby Yoda with his finger in his mouth. The seven-year-old is Ghostface in a pink dress. This is my family: four different universes, one bench, all of them mine. Halloween isn't about the costumes. It's about getting them all in one photo before someone falls off the bench.
