I've discovered a phrase that truly resonates with me: "I'm touched out."
There are moments when you simply hit your limit—the limit of being climbed on, pulled in every direction, sat upon, and even hugged.
This is especially true when you're juggling multiple children.
And there are times when you must confidently assert, "I'm touched out. Please don’t touch me, get off me, and just let me be."
In other words, let me breathe. Allow me to recharge in some peaceful green solitude.
Being a mom doesn’t mean we have to smile through every challenge. Establishing boundaries is essential for our well-being and teaches our children the importance of doing the same.
