Tonight we roll out to Blue Mountain — getting in late with my oldest three and my man for the weekend. Jayden races tomorrow at noon — his first Spartan Kids race, 3K of mud and glory — and then Sunday it's my turn. Five kilometers of obstacles and bad decisions. I've been calling it "preparing for demise" all day and honestly? Accurate.
Today was the unglamorous part nobody posts about. Grocery order showed up wrong — somebody else's bags, three bags of carrots that are now mine. So I learned to blanch carrots at 9 in the morning like a pioneer woman. Three minutes boiling, ice bath, freeze. You're welcome, future me.
Somewhere between the carrots and the chaos I went hunting for Addison's Apple ID, which is nowhere to be found, finalized four days of Lit Mama posts, and swapped an album cover because the first one wasn't it. The tattoo won. Obviously the tattoo won.
Bags are half-packed. The dog situation is unresolved. The waivers are unsigned. But we're going anyway, because that's what we do.
Demise, here I come. Lol.
